they are great. only cons I see from them are cleaning them and replacing them if they break or get cut. The OG net your tent might have came with will be better then the other ones avilable for sale even itf it by the same brand as your tent..

Pros - nice even canopy and good support for heavy branches. Cons - impossible to move you plants, harder to work on your plants, nightmare at harvest time untangling branches which can damage buds, hard to change the layout when you run into overcrowding issues, buds can get squashed trying to grow next to the netting, pointless if growing autos..... I much prefer LST using soft, rubber covered wire and using bamboo stakes for any heavy branches.

I avoided scrogs for a long time. It was a poor choice. Even if you don't use it for training, if any plant requires support, which you really can't tell until mid flower, it's nice to have in place. the headache of using garden wire is worth avoiding all by itself, even if it doesn't happen each time you grow. A floppy plant is a fucking nightmare. if vertical space is an issue, a lower-level scrog makes horizontal training simple. It also helps visualize spacing of colas to maximize yield and avoid over-crowding. I know exactly where my branhces have to reach before i let them go vertically. If you are systematic about canopy management, it's a very useful tool. If you just let it grow wild, still helpful because you'll need a shit ton of support more often, lol. I don't think they are more maintenance. If anything they are less maintenance than other support options because it takes care of entire plant instead of doing 1 branch at a time.

Hello. I'll give my opinion. If your just doing 1 plant in a tent then use a trellis. You can get around, under it, to check for problems. But, I don't like the restriction of not being able to move plants if I need to, if I find problems in that area like pests or mold. I prefer to use tomato cages. I can spread them out and make mainlines and the cages provide support to tie the big buds to, and I can move them if there is a problem. It makes it easy to take out the plants for cleanup and harvest, or to water, or clean up a spill when the tent is full. In my 10x10 tent I have in the greenhouse, I use a trellis, but I can walk completely around the table and not be restricted by the net. Hope that helps. You can peek at my diaries to see what I mean, if that would help. Later. Chuck.

Hi bud. Great question! The only con that comes to mind is that harvesting can be a little complicating. I have used them on several plants and the pros that I found were: 1. heavy colas/braches get direct support. Only ever needed one trellis net, directly under the bottommost developing bud sites. 2. better airflow between colas Hope this helps, even just a little.

Makes LST easy by just feeding into a net. The old timers (hydro guys from the 90s) that taught me would just make a bush in veg, slap a trellis down into her, trim a 3 weeks, lollipop at 6, flush at 8 and harvest at 9. If you got a real resin-laden girl, the trellis also provides support, but mostly is used to spread the canopy. Easy to remove, reusable, and so on. Simpler and more modular approach than clips or ties or wires, although there are some dank clip designs out these days if you have access to a 3D printer.

In short pros: better airflow, better lightpenitraion, space optimization, increased yields and cons: more maintenance, complicates harvesting
