Thrips (again) (advice against thrips? No Neem oil please, useless) (could it be fault of the bio bizz soil?)

I have again a problem with thrips on my new plants. I can't figure out where these insects come from. I previously had other plants with thrips in the group box but I disinfected everything with alcohol before putting the new ones. What kind of insects can I use against thrips?

Hydrogen Peroxide kills eggs and larve. Also cover the soil with something like a paper plate. Helps suffocate them. This will beak their lifecycle.

I had them and then beat them. Uses nemattcck and TriShield. Both are worth keeping around.

porb in the substrate. they good at hiding and being dicks. some have said spraying BT on the leaves can kill them. I have not tested this and only seen some things saying its true. My grow shop sells predators that eat thrips up. if not a general pesticide works well in veg. don't spray in flower.

Thrips are persistant little critters, I've had to go Protocol Zero and kill all mothers twice after trying for years to get rid of the bastards However, you can grow successsfully with Thrips, especially if you manage to keep them down. Always clean you grow space with Chlorine!!!!!!!!!! Alcohol is piss weak against pests ;) When you clean your grow room after a Thrips infestation clean with Chlorine diluted in water, clean at least 3 times and wait about a week between cleanings, they need time to die properly. It also helps if you're able to have very low temperatures in the grow room for a few days between cleaning e.g. open windows for a week in winter This procedure did it for me, and the second time I had to do it was the lesson I needed to stop taking clones from other people into my grow room. To prevent Thrips (larvae hunters): - Amblyseius cucumeris - Amblyseius swirskii Adult Thrips hunters: - Chrysoperla carnea (they totally wipe out Spidermites and Aphids but I've only been able to keep Thrips down with them) - Orius majusculus (only keeps Thrips down) Having a layer of diatomaceous earth (kitty litter clay - only use unscented!), or perlite, or LECA on top of the soil makes it a lot harder for pests to establish a bridgehead. Removing yellow and withering leaves quickly makes it harder for pests to establish a bridgehead, most of them need weak leaves. If you have sloppy grower friends, keep them out of your garden, if they have pests in their garden they bring the pests with them in their clothes.

Spinosad or pyrethrin sprays – organic-compatible and very effective if applied in cycles. Sticky traps – help monitor and reduce adult population. Beneficial insects – like Amblyseius cucumeris or Orius insidiosus for larval stages. Diatomaceous earth – dusted lightly on topsoil can cut down emerging larvae. Good airflow + dry top layer – thrips lay eggs in moist surface layers. Also consider baking or freezing your soil if reusing it, and fully disinfecting your tent between runs – eggs can survive in crevices and restart the cycle.

any pest that puts larva into the soil/substrte can come from the store. I don't think thrips do that? Only had those once and only due to a clone swap. Find some concentrated pyrthrine (southern AG makes one). It's much more cost-effective than the diluted stuff in a spray bottle. This is a kill on contact option. You'd likely need more than just this to rid yourself of a problem, but it'll help. stick traps too. pests can survive in all sorts of places... someone i recall had gnats in their wall that took a long time to figure out the source of re-occurence. maybe one of those bug bombs and a few weeks off before next grow is in order?
