Is This Real Life? Or Bad Fantasy?

This is really bad, but ironically hilarious. I updated my diary yesterday, saying the plant is perfect, I'm excited 😊 after that I snapped a main stem. Taped it up overnight, but had died, untaping it I noticed the stem it was attached to was cut. Then I snapped another! 😩

Once dropped a beautiful plant onto concrete during a transplant to bigger pot, I got a little excited and didn't let the soil dry as much as I should have. I dropped her and snapped the main stem. Bust a few stems, she didn't recover and I was quote upset as it was first time, not so kuch at the mistake but the fact I didn't have tools or knowledge and was unable to provide the emergency room level of repairs needed right away. Sent me on a quest to learn. Now I keep emergency repair materials at hand ready to go, biggest key to any break is getting her propped back into position before she even knows a break happens. Faster the more chance of survival. Onwards and upwards Kirsten! Toke on!

Won't be the last time it happens. Lesson learned! Ease into it. Sometimes you have to get them where you want them over a couple of days . As soon as you feel the slightest resistance stop ✋️

Hi :( yes, that's annoying. I can only recommend that if you want to train them, you water them an hour beforehand so they're softer. Then I'd try using some thick wire and tying them down, that's what I do, and then, step by step, so they don't bend too much all at once. You can test how far they bend with your finger and then fix the wire in place. And it's best when the shoots are nice and young. For older shoots, I would press the stems a little with my thumb and index finger to soften them. That's how I did it with my White Widow supercrop, and you basically break the stems, but only from the inside, and all the shoots survived. And my last tip: if they break, use painter's tape or medical tape. It's finer, comes off easier, and is easy to work with. I always have it handy when training so I can act quickly if something does break. But your plant will now strengthen other shoots and will still give you good buds. :)

Hello. I use agricultural sulphur on all the plants cuts and bruises. It's anti-fungal too. I prefer to put tissue around the cut or break, wrap it tight and then tape over that. I've had the tape pull off part of the canna bark from the plants stem when taking the tape of in the past, making a new problem. So I always wrap tissue on first. The tape comes off easier and the tissue absorbs plant sap to make a sorta scab and the tissue just tears around that. Yeah, too bad, but that's part of the grow. Sometimes the plant has bendy branches and sometimes they have very firm branches. Yes I've done something similar Oh well. All you can do is be more careful next time.
