Plants strive to maintain a consistent amount of water. So, unless you let it wilt before harvesting, it won't make much of a difference. Also, you generallywant a slower dry, not a faster one, unless you live in a rainforedst probably better not to try to dry it out before chopping it down.
Seems like you have a good bit of ripening left as the pistils look long and some are lily white. Remember, you've put in months of time at this point, so don't fret over a handful of days being patient for it to fully ripen.
definitely let the canopy crumble a bit too fast. if you stopped fertiizing, it obviously is still making use of those building blocks and still requires them. Otherwise, it wouldn't be deficient. Beware of bro-science.. they have their heads up their asses about this stuff that is beyond the resulution of human sesnes.. for decades these peopel claimed that starving your plant at the end reduced mineral content of flower -- absolutely not true beyond a doubt. Obviously, if it's cannibalized itself to this point, it still needed the nitrogen and whaetever else is deficient. rate of use vs rate of provision is what matters over time.. not some pre-ordained bro-science with zero evidence.
