Problems early Veg

Mutant...........not all seeds make it. I personally never persist with mutants and cull them.............life is too short to grow "maybes".

looks fine. some are more roust than others. Based on drying pattern i'd ask you about your watering habits. 1) fully saturate. 2) wait for appropriate dryback and repeat. if in soilless get 10% runoff waste water, too. If not keeping it simple, fix watering habits. never half-water. never spritz the surface. these behaviours are self-fellating and only a net negative for the plant The strongest seedlings are not always the strongest plants later on, so all is not lost even if it correlates a bit.

so ive just had a similar problem ive been told its either tap root damage oe that the soil is to dry/ has dry pockets that the roots have hit i was advised to water till run off and leave a few days to dry back

They're living things – if everything was truly identical, it’d be genetics. If not genetics, could be microclimate: e.g. more or less airflow, edge of the light footprint, slightly cooler spot... Could also be early root stall, overwatering, or something subtle. Nothing dramatic – she’ll likely catch up… or not, if it’s just her genetics. Either way, don’t overreact – just watch how she develops over the next days

Most likely just crap genetics in that seed or its possible it took some damage when coming out the shell and is growing weird It will for sure be a slow start it will probably end up growing fine after awhile
