NEVER grow at 24/0.............ALL cannabis plants, autos included, NEED "sleep"! 18/6 is optimal and the healthiest. There are certain metabolic processes that only occur during lights out........ without "sleep" these processes can not happen. A plant with an incorrectly functioning metabolism will never reach its full potential. It is a absolute myth that it is ok to grow cannabis at 24/0!

bruv u got hit by the church of “autos need dark” lmao they out here praying to the 4hr sleep god newsflash autos don’t read forums autos don’t care 24/0 run fine since forever stressed plants herm from abuse not extra light ur temps + rh going wild in dark? that’s REAL stress not some bedtime story run 24/0 keep it warm keep it dry plants vibe harder when comfy energy bill cry? maybe plant cry? never seen it people love overcomplicating sh*t simple rule, stable enviro perfect theory send it bro light don’t kill cold wet swing does

Even when growing autos it’s always good to give a plant atleast a couple hours of darkness everyday.

The only possible reason to do somethign like that is if your DLI is so low that 20% more would outweigh the benefits of a dark cycle. So, if already giving proper DLI, this is a gauranteed net-negative. 60F is a tad too low and such a temperature drop after lights out (nearly -20F) does elevate risk of hitting the dewpoint. It might be better to just run a space heater for 4 hours so you don't drop below 68F. It'd probably be less electricity than running the lights 4 more hours. The temps while lights run hint at that likelihood. Oh, have the dark cycle during the day instead of at night. 12p - 4p will be warmer and may not even need a heater, eh? if it drops that low in your house, then it likely was more pronounced outside. You had to have experienced this before outside unless you moved in the meantime.

no you should be fine to increase the light schedule. Keeping your environment stable is better for them

First, temperature and humidity are directly connected (If we don't care about environment, plants etc.), please check that :-) So two options - higher temperature or get water out of the air... or of course both. Back to your question, to keep RH and temp. constant it is okay. Nonetheless, it's more energy .. perhaps a bit stress .. I don't think it will have much impact on the harvest. If you have just 3 hours night at the moment. You could try to keep the temperature a bit higher. 1. Hot water bottle + towel. 2. Isolation of your box. Besides, everything. Ventilation is a must with high RH. Keep on rocking.🙌

Hey growmie, switching from 20/4 to 24/0 won’t cause them to herm. Autos don’t care about light schedule changes like photos do. If running 24/0 solves your humidity/temp swings, go for it. Worst case they might slow a tiny bit if they really like some dark time, most autos handle 24/0 just fine.
