Hello, me again with another question. So I just topped the plant, now i was wondering if i should remove the growth beneath the upper set of leaves. I've seen videos explaining why you should do it and why you shouldn't. Whats your experience? Appreciate all the help so far!

Hey there that’s a great question I see a lot of people make this mistake No I don’t think you should cut off any leaves at this time. At this time your plant needs all the real estate of leaves as possible. The more leaf matter you have at this time will allow your plant to absorb more light and do more photosynthesis in a day allowing it to grow more roots and grow more plant matter quicker. I will leave all the leaves on my plants until the point the leaves are all over each other this give the plant a good start Your plant looks healthy just let it keep growing for a couple weeks and then reevaluate what todo with leaves and such

Right now, I would leave the lower growth alone. After topping, the plant needs those leaves to recover and power new shoots. Later, once side branches are established and you see which ones are strong, you can clean up weak lower growth if needed. Early defoliation right after topping just slows things down. Let her stack some energy first.
