WEEKLY NOTES -
Week 2 and the growth is still relatively slow but still productive, I think she's developing her roots and adapting to the environment before she starts to focus all of her energy on vegetative growth. I just gave her first feed yesterday with a bit of CaMg+, I was reading that Coco likes to hold on to it and only releases it when at maximum holding capacity can anyone else further support this ? and any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've just noticed that my Lemon OG auto has no top, I'm guessing this is what self topping is. I've heard about it before but never experienced it. Have any of you encountered this before and what are your thoughts on it, is it beneficial or a disadvantage.
To be fair, that is "the top of the plant".
- Tho you could call it self topping, if it doesn't continue setting new nodes above it.
If it was mine, I'd consider taking seeds on it, and hope that the seeds inherit the gene that makes it grow like that. As it's likely better for the plant to do it like that, than you cutting it.
Lemon OG has topped itself, it has grown just another leaf instead of a growing top. This is so weird and I've never experienced this before but I'm sort of glad it has happened so I can share my experience on it, it supposed to be a rare mutation so I'm either lucky or unlucky depending on the outcome.
Lemon OG is going well, at week 4 the growth has started to speed up and has doubled in size since last week so I raised the ppm to 400 and also started giving a healthy dose of Mycorrhizae. This is a special plant to me for it is a 'self topper' and I have never experienced this before, I'm going to take the advice that I've been given and pollenate it and hope that gene gets passed down.
Week 5 and we are now seeing some potential growth. They must be liking the nutrients that I'm giving them, they have responded well and over the last week there has been some explosive growth. Pre-flowering has also begun so I have now started feeding bloom nutes.
Lemon OG the self topper is going really well, with 2 main colas that are starting to nicely develope I should get a good yield of this one. I have also pollenated the lower branches in a hope that this gene carries on.
Lemon OG is by far from a lemon, she is looking spectacular in every way and with the smell of sweet lemon candy she should be delish. Also with two main colas she's going to be a banger of a harvest.
All plants are being flushed for the week and then will be harvested in order. Lemon OG will be the 2nd to come down, she has the most dence nugs out of the bunch.
Lemon OG by Twisted Tree Auto's has more of a relaxing effect about it but without the couch lock, it's ideal for an afternoon smoke to start the unwinding effect.
Grows really well, full of big glistening buds with a slight lemoney aroma that are very appealing. This plant actually topped itself which is rare so I pollinated the lower branches in a hope that the genetic trait get's passed on. Not a heavy hitter but still has very good relaxing properties about it so I think it leans more toward the indica side. The one thing I noticed that didn't stand out was the taste, it's not lemoney enough for me I would of preferred it to have a stronger taste.
What you have going on with your plant is called a Polyploid! It's a genetic mutation. Typically we see 3 sets of leaves at each node with polyploids in cannabis. Yours is unusually intresting because you have 4 sets of leaves. You may have disrupted it by topping her you'll know when she blooms if the buds are unusually shaped.👍
@Philindicus, Yes she is a special one, I'm not sure if it's a Polyploid but there's definitey a genetic mutation going on because I never topped her, this actually topped itself and if you look closely you can see it in the pictures. The growth and flower formation is all normal and she is now 6 weeks old at 2 weeks into flower. I have also pollenated her lower branches in a hope that the gene carries on, it would be awesome to have a self topping strain. Cheers Buddy thanks for your interest happy growing and high regards.
