Climate (too dry or hot) or too much wind tends to do that.
the paling on old leaf is likely variegation or some sort of less than idea fertilization early on that is no longer an issue, but that plant also looks a bit too lush up top (newer growth). So, keep an eye on that. Since the others seem to be thriving could be an oddball, but most plants *can thrive off a single formula. Too often peopel would rather blame the plant rather than some esoteric imbalanced formula they have faith in.
if it's only 1/20 or similarly rare, you can blame some genetic oddity more confidently. Otherwise, keep tweaking that formula until most things thrive on it. If in soil, sometimes the inconsistency of it can make it more difficult. I guess 1/20 type rarity should be reserved for soilless/hydro contexts. you have to be a little more on your toes in soil with more unknowns in regard to nutrients provided.
