Hey Growmie, Not silly at all—this kind of thing happens all the time, especially when training plants using methods like SCROG (Screen of Green). The good news is that you probably don’t have to throw anything away just yet. You could try grafting, but success is hit-or-miss: Make clean diagonal cuts on both the broken tip and the main stem (think tongue-and-groove). Fit them together snugly. Tape it securely and keep it humid (a bag dome can help). Success isn’t guaranteed, but it’s worth a try. If grafting fails or you decide not to try, don't worry: The plant will usually bush out more and redirect energy to lower growth sites. It’s almost like accidental topping—you may end up with a stronger canopy later.

I always sqeeze or turn my stems before bending. With both hands hold the stem between your fingers and thumbs with a 1inch gap and twist. They'll turn 360% in both directions.1 full turn to the right and left, you'll often hear it snal.Return it to its original position give it 1 half turn and bend, this will prevent it spliting, most of the time.Silicone can make stems brittle.Put it down to a lesson learnt,it wasnt a total loss.I guess the grafting would take that long it wont be worth it for a couple of inches of growth.

Maybe if you did it right away... grafts can work. It'ss been done with plants long before the marijuana hobby was popular. Just don't expect a high percentage of success. Maybe, slice to long angles to create greater surface area of vascular tissue touching? I'm sure there is source material out there on this. don't rely on social media type sources.
