Regular Plants

I currently have 9 regular plants in the third week of veg. When do male traits usually start to show? So far, all the plants look like my automatics — they appear female. But it can’t be that all regular seeds turned out female, right?

Extremely unlikely on the math, but possible. This is unlikely like 1 in 500 type unlikely, but still hundreds of thousands of times more likely than a lottery win... Honestly, I have never popped a male from reg seeds - maybe we are blessed (or cursed) like that. Each pop is an independent event with probability 50%. This is where seedpack numbers even came from originally. 99%+ one will be male, male traits should have already been showing albeit perhaps not pre-flowers

reg seed has a 50/50 change of being male or female. but the odds gets lower and lower the close to the ends of spectrum. eg 90%M/10%F or 10%M/90%F. still possible just not likely or very very rare to see it happen. My buddy grew out bag seed and his ratio was bad... out of 12 plants 9 hermi, one male and 2 females. lesson learned don't grow bag seed. They should start to display their sex before going into flower around week 5-7 if they still in veg. Females will put out small pistils or white hairs in the nodes. Males won't. The one time I had males in my tent they started to produce male flowers under 18/6, maybe it had auto in it. IDK, but you should see some stuff soon. If not flip em into 12/12 and wait a week for sex to show and flip em back into 18/6 or w/e light schedule your using if you want to veg em out longer or just wait till week 5.

Males of same strain will generally put far more energy Into stretching, males job is to grow as high as possible so he has best chance of his seed being taken off by wind. You may notice a couple that just seem lankier than the rest. I certainly wouldn't trust that as a guide though it's good to keep in mind. Other than that there is no real way of telling, until the organs are on display.

Pollen sacs start to develop during the late-vegetative stage. Once a male marijuana plant reaches maturity, which typically happens around 4 to 5 weeks into the flowering stage, the pollen sacs burst open and release pollen into the air. It's possible for regular seeds to produce nothing but females. My F3 seeds have only produced females in three grows, F1/F2 produced males but not F3. Google: "marijuana male stage of growth" for more detailed information.

It's a pheno hunt. - You are an expert, so I am not qualified to give answers as amateur. 1. You are in veg. 2. Take it just as assumption it's 50:50. Try not to calculate but guess if it is possible if 9 plants can be one sex.
