There could be several reasons for this issue. First and foremost, you should check your pH level. It’s important—or rather essential—that you’re watering with a pH between 6.0 and 6.5. Ideally, I water at around 6.2. If you can ensure that the pH is within the correct range, then it’s likely you’re dealing with a calcium and magnesium deficiency. One indicator of a magnesium deficiency is the zebra-like pattern on the leaves—those yellow and green stripes radiating from the center of the leaf outward. As for the spots, they usually start off yellow and gradually turn a bronze color. That’s a clear sign of a calcium deficiency. So, if your pH level is on point, I would strongly recommend getting a CalMag supplement and correcting the deficiency accordingly.
