Meh, most breeders pander to the mob.. superficial traits are maximized to maximize profits.
I'm starting to think all these exotic aromas are just resulting in less than ideal flavor. Something is lost to get a superficial aroma when all i care about is the flavor of the smoke. give me the flavors of my younger years in the 90s - wintergreen, pine, skunk, hashy type stuff. At least those were consistent back then.
Nowadays you buy a "srawberry cookies og" and it smells like strawberry jam when you open the container but then the smoke is a faint strawberry flavor and a little on the harsh side, lol. That's not even a bad outcome by some comparisons, bwahaha.
Definitely don't fall into the trap of the price-gougers pretending their shit don't stank. Anesia is no better than any other bulk seller, for example. No reason to overpay for their seed when it's no better than the others. Inhouse genetics puts out the frost but often not too falvorful. Priced like anesia, better than anesia by far, but still not worth the price-gouging.
A 1-oz plant can give you 1500 feminized seeds for reference. imagine how many a large plant yields? The cost to produce seeds is a fraction of a penny per seed.
Most of the time my outcome of pollen-chucking exceeds the quality of plants grown next to them. The MSNL plants of last cycle were the first to clearly outperform my home-brew seeds (bbgs in diaries). Looking forward to trying more of the MSNL seed next grow cycle.
Lookingn forward to trying some humbuldt seed co. seeds too. They specifically say their plant names are accurate to flavors of smoke, so i'm hoping that is true. I wouldn't pay their full prices but got great deal on 4.20
