Hey Growmies, One of my ladies has overgrown my 5ft tent. I've already raised the light as high as I could, and she's still taller by an inch or two. What are your suggestions? Feel free to have a look at my diary and help a newbie Any suggestions welcome 🙏

In my opinion, using the HST method is really the only viable option at this point. You can intentionally kink the branch at a suitable spot. The branch or main stem is probably already too thick to bend effectively. In my view, this is currently the most effective solution. Have you worked with HST before? If not, check out some videos on YouTube – they give you a good sense of how the technique works. I Hope it helps!

Yeah, "snap" a branch horizontal. Expect it to turn upward and recover 4-6" relative to where you bend it horizontally. if it feels brittle / too rigid, try to weaken the stem between thumb and finger before you bend it over. Cause some minimal damage in a couple spots close together so that it can bend without a hard snap. When done well you don't even see any droop. If droop occurs, should heal within 1-2 days. You'll have to tie it down before long to avoid lurching back upward.
