Can anyone advice type of film, to put it from inside on window, to let light in, but hide whats inside for outside viewers ? Friend is struggling with neighbors peaking, he grows few autos in living room, daylight is only light source. Any ideas or products ? Thank You !

If they depend on the light from the window, then you'll reduce dli by putting any sort of film on the glass.. light will be attenuated for sure. if they know the friend grows already, then it really doesn't help at this point, eh? And if it does matter, well there's no solution fitting his need that won't negatively impact the plant, which probably wasn't getting much light to start if it was sitting near a window as its only source. it's gong to be a scraggily small plant either way, i guess? LOL ... wants/needs contradicting reality doesn't turn out well. An upstairs room with a window in appropriate direction?

anything you apply to the window will cause the light coming into it to be muted. If you using said light to grow it will be much less effective. Be careful if the window is double pain as some of the reflective foils you can put on windows causes to much heat to build between the pans and they crack. I think its mostly if they has a special gas in between them. fucks em right up. I'd go with a frosting that defuses light but its not transparent. This works well in my bedroom and my house plants like it.. At night time it also blocks views. The mirror finish ones at night you can see into your room like normal if lights are on and block your ability to see out as well as day time. They also annoying to apply but help with keeping houses cool.

Bro it‘s pretty easy search for refelcting window tint on amazon or else… I use a UV tint for my DYI Canntrol, it refects pretty good but only if outside is brighter than inside, what won‘t be the case in the evening ;) A friend of mine had tint that looked like aluminium foil, refelcts the light pretty good, keeps heat outside & even at Night you couldn‘t see through… also pretty cheap
