Do you think a 700w light is too much for the seedling stage? I want to make sure she receives adequate light without frying her.

if the light hung to focus on 2 square meters full of seedlings, it might be fine, lol. Lol, is this a troll asking a question? LED or HID would make a difference too as far as area of coverage, but both would be too much for seedlings in most cases except commercial scale production.

Get Photon app, dimm your light to 150 ppfd the first week, second 300. If your light is not dimmable, you can hang it up to get the right ppfd.

Turn down the Power on the light of its possible or start the seedling with a small led light

Hey bro, it really depends on your setup, a 700w light can be fine if it’s dimmable or hung high enough, but straight at full blast is way too much for a seedling. For early seedling stage: Dim to ~25–30% if possible Or hang it 80–100cm (30–40") above the seedling Watch for signs: praying is good, tacoing or bleaching = too much You’re aiming for gentle light to encourage roots, they don’t need heavy PAR until after the first set of true leaves. Less is more early on. ✌️ Keep it light and let her build a solid base first.

Definitely a lot of wattage for a seedling, she can only use so much of what shes getting, everything over what she needs or uses is overkill, coupd cause stress, exhaustion or or even overheat

Seedlings really don’t need too much early on, check the manual with the light - they usually put dimming settings for seedling stage in there. If you can’t dim the lamp then make sure it’s quite a way up from the seedling. Hope this helps
