go soilless for easiest learning curve and ability to control exactly what is given to the roots... don't fall for marketing nonsense and gimmicks. You can spend 4-5 cents per gallon of fertilizer or 16-20cents per gallon for the same results. light manufactuers rampantly lie on their spec sheets.
One of the more difficult tasks you have to figure out isn't even related to growing a plant... it's wading through all the unsubstantiated nonsense repeated ad nauseum and the constant over-promising of products without regard to reality, lol. Needy, desperate people fuel sales of over-priced magical nonsense and perpetuate "technique" that lack any evidence to support them.
