Yes, that's definitely possible; many growers do it that way when space is tight. However, you should keep a few things in mind:
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity: The flowering plants usually need a different humidity level than the drying buds. Too humid = mold risk, too dry = buds become crumbly quickly.
💨 Air Circulation: For the drying buds, only gentle airflow, never let them be blown directly.
🌞 Light: Buds should dry in the dark. If they hang under the grow light, the quality suffers (THC and terpenes break down). Some people make a small, light-proof box for this or hang a curtain in the tent.
⏳ Timing: The drying time is harder to control in an active tent since the climate and light are not ideally matched to the buds.
In short: It works, and many manage it – but it's a compromise. If you have the option to use a separate dark room with about 18–20 °C and 50–60 % RH, you'll definitely get more quality out of the harvest 🍃✨.
