first time I grew I put them in the soil and keep it warm and they all popped up in 7-10 days. KISS. Keep It Stupid Simple The more steps the more change of human error. Be smart and wash and clean your hands and items using to germinate. use a seed starting mix that is sterile. I have now started soaking my seeds for 8-12hrs. then into the soil. This speeds up germination a bit. Peroxide can be usefull if you suspect the seeds came into contact with something like fungus or yeasts, but not needed overall. Paper towel is good for testing germination but once that root touches the towel or the root gets to long its danger zone, too easy to damage. Same goes for photoperiod seeds. its all cannabis no real diffrences.

1hr float in a peroxide solution 2:1 water 3% peroxide. Then plant and water in. Keep high humidity. Very simple. No peroxide then just float in RO water and plant. Less stress the better for autos.

Anything but paper towel method. lol Everyone's got their thing. Once you start one way and it works. you'll likely never change how you do it. I like to soak the seed about 12 hours then get a tap and if it sinks then i know its saturated, then i take it out and direct sow it into nutrient less soil mix. Vermiculite helps. I tried to sow into 1 gallon pot this year and they did okay, but the ones that got transplanted into 5 gallon pots with handful of that mix in the center with regualr veg nurtient mix surronding it. are doing much better. If you have more space, if you aren't doing massive final pots like me id direct so into final pot. Especially for autofower. I have only had 2 out of 40 seeds not germinate this way.

In my humble opinion the best way to germinate any seeds is 24 hr float in a small glass of water. After 24 hrs give em a tap. Most if not all will sink to the bottom of the glass (follow steps even if seed doesn't sink.). Take some paper towel and fold several times. Upend glass on to paper towel making sure seed does not stick to inside of glass. (When you have a folded and wet paper towel with a seed sat in the middle fold over once more to envelope the seed and place in a small ziplock bag with a small space for air exchange. I then put bag in the mitt of an oven glove and check daily until I have a taproot showing. This method works for me with a 90 to 100% success rate. Once taproot shows into the pot it goes. You can use 1 ziplock bag for several folded papertowels and you can have several seeds per paper towel if necessary. The oven mitt works a treat at keeping the dark, insulated and moist. Check out the questions section for germination or seeds for more ideas and methods. happy growing. 😀
