Progressive harvest means harvesting your plant in stages instead of all at once. You cut the ripest top buds first and let the lower ones keep growing for a few more days or a week so they can mature fully before you harvest them too. It helps maximize yield and allows all buds to finish properly.

I guess hang a pair of truck nuts on it? A little gender-bending falls on the 'progressive' side of things. The only reason i'd recommend it is if you want to test differing levels of ripeness without a year's worth of growing to do so. You can test 10% amber and 50% amber etc.. figure out what you prefer faster. Otherwise, I don't think it is worth it, either. It won't affect yield in any way that can justifiy it. If it's larf down below, it won't magically get dense in a few days of extra ripening, etc...
