I wouldn't take anything off yet but I would bend her over with an anchor at the bottom of stem holding still and another at the top pulling in the opersit direction to bend over and get some light on the side branched.. For now that's what I'd do pal

I use LST predominantly and I usually wait until the plant is around 30cm to bend it over, I’d wait another week if I were you

I think your plant is ready to start some low stress training. I usually base it on how stable the main stem is and how many internodes the plant has. From what I can see, yours has four, and I like to start training when a plant has around 4–5 internodes. Those are the points where the main branches split off from the stem.

Yes you can start training. I would remove the two lowest branches too, they never do anything much...... the ones sprouting from the single bladed leaves. I have never "anchored" the base when training a plant ("so you don't pull the roots out") in over 40 years of outdoor growing and never had any issues.

it's only too late if the stem is too rigide to bend it over. too early doesn't help much if their are no lower axillary buds to share apical dominance. I suggest working backward from a goal for your canopy.. How many colas you want can make this decision for you. This is purely manipulating growth through apical dominance. MAke it do what yo want. If you don't have a destination, it's pure whimsy. There is no answer without an end goal. Choose between bending between the axillary growth or have one axis facing down and inevitably pruned off. Anchor the bottom, so it doesn't pull it's roots out over time (you tied the base of trunk to opposite side of where it is bent toward). If you bend between axis you can more easily use all the branches and share dominance, but this is usually too many, too close. Whereas anything facing down is garbage and shouldn't be used. Nothing wrong with either option as long as it serves a purpose other than whimsy.

hey 👋 3 solid nodes, for LST, you’re good to go 👍 If you’re topping, wait one more week before making the cut, but you can already start training the side branches
