A few ideas...... Harvest the plant 30-45 minutes after the lights come on and before the terpenes evaporate. Cut the branches off the main stem so that the buds dry more evenly, whole plants dry erratically due to the main stem being thicker at the base. Leave the large fan leaves on when drying and dry trim the plants........this actually promotes better drying, as the moisture goes out through the leaves and not so much through the buds....which can reduce terpene content. Always dry in the dark. I have to say, the first part of gollis answer is pure fiction...........how can denser buds lose moisture quicker??

Top buds usually dry faster because they get more light, heat and airflow during the grow. They’re denser and lose moisture quicker. Lower buds stay cooler and more humid, so they dry slower and often keep more flavor. If you want a more even dry, try lowering temps to 18–19°C, keeping RH around 55–60%, and reducing direct airflow on the top colas. You can also trim big top buds off the stem so they dry closer to the speed of the lower ones. Hanging the whole plant is good — just adjust airflow and conditions a bit.

It's all in the balance there is no answer really. Watch and adjust it's either the drying process or light height issues.. It's telling you something so listen out and give her what she needs. A nice stable home and constant attention, not constant but be aware of what she's saying

is there a fan pointing at them? if they are bigger, they shouldn't dry faster... also larger buds can be tricky.. they can feel dry but not fully dry. if they get sealed up, the moisture will even out and it'll feel soft on the outside again, so watch out for that, as that means they weren't actually dry, yet. maybe too much light fried them? -- evaporated off large portion of terpenes off the top, nearest buds? 7-8 days should be okay. That won't cause catastrophe. A whole plant drying in 7-8 dies is kinda fast, though. avoid light and heat while drying, that will help. If using a fan, never have it directly pointed at the plant... don't use a small enclosed space like a tent.. that is difficult to 'circulate' without a strong breeze over-drying the plant material as it creates a vortex in a tiny enclosed area vs a small room. larger buds don't naturally dry faster, so you'll have to simply look over the process for a cause to that effect. should be obvious...
