Yes, coco is reusable! After the old grow, make sure to flush it — when you dried it out, all the salts stayed inside. You probably don't want to overdose your young plants :) After flushing, make sure to buffer it with a CalMag + coco A+B nutrients solution (light concentration, ~30-50% of normal strength). This will give a good start on old coco and restore the balance. Happy growing! 🌱

Yes. as long as all the roots and what not are composted or cleaned out. Best to run some enzymes though it so they can breakdown all the dead matter left over. then rebuffer with some CaMg and a good rinse - good to go.

Yeah best to rehydrate with some hot water out of the kettle and then add Calmag to the water when cooled.

hey 👋 Of course, coco coir is neutral, and as long as the fibers aren’t shredded you can reuse it by rehydrating it. Just remember to check that no mold has formed in any potential pocket of moisture during storage, and that no pests have made a nest in it (unlikely if it was well dried). If that’s the case, spread the coco coir on a baking tray and put it in the oven at 80°C for 1 to 2 hours depending on the quantity

sure. It may be a little resistant to water, but once you get going it'll be fine. A surfactant, aka wetting agent, is needed if it repels water to the point you can't properly irrigate. just test a bit out.
