An over-crowded canopy isn't helping.
Lots of things can cause interveinal damage, but this could be a matter of leaves not trainspiring properly or maybe some bad watering habits, or possible a nutrient imbalance. The way the canopy was managed, i'd worry about other methods that aren't optimal and get those more in line with 'normal' before messing around with the fertilzier formula applied.
Don't overcrowd canopy in future. Unfortunately it is over-crowded, so you should do a defoliation -- something you should never have to do with proper canopy management. don't make it barebones, but leaves shouldnt' be impeding each other or significantly overlapping each other etc... Don't create gaps in canopy, but definitely thin it out. Try to spread the plant out a bit and that will reduce how much you have to remove, too. Some garden wire will be helpful with that. Maybe even remove some branches from lower portions causing congestion.
You only need ~3 colas per sq ft to maximize yield. LEaves capture light, not colas. More colas does not improve yield (beyond a certain point .. roughly 2-4 colas per sq ft as stated). More is just adding work with no return. if it's an auto, be careful how much you cut off as there's no room for error.
