Hi guys, I planted my first photoperiod plant. Seed bank unknown, it was a gift (≈3-year-old seed). Setup: SF1000 at 80%, 24°C on / 20°C off, RH 65%, Lightmix + 5% perlite, transplanted recently into an 11L pot. After 4 weeks it’s very slow. I did LST yesterday but removed it

Read the question people..........it is a photoperiod plant! If you only just recently transplanted it, perhaps keepig it in its seedling pot too long has stunted it? Also growing seedlings in clear plastic containers is a no-no.........roots need absolute darkness to thrive, this could be another factor that has limited its development. Anyways, now that it is in a bigger pot, it should power away soon enough, although 11L is not that generous for a photoperiod plant. Roots and leaves grow at the same time, leaves do not wait for "roots to fill the pot before resuming growth".........absolute nonsense.

if potting up ever "stalls" a plant, you need to fix your potting up process or find a new hobby, lol. Potting up autos is the smart way to go when you avoid bro science reasoning that isn't supported by evidence. Size-appropriate pots allow for better rootzone development.

4 weeks? maybe it got stunted somehow? it's not the age of the seed. it germinated, so you are beyond what that might influence. try giving a bit less light and see if it stops being so droopy. Your irrigation habits might be i nquestion too. fully saturate, wait for dryback, repeat -- don't make it any more complicated than that. If this is a soilles context, also get 10% or more runoff religiously.

hey 👋 If you notice a pause in your auto’s growth after repotting, here’s the reason: it’s focusing on its roots to fill the new pot before resuming leaf and cola growth... With a photo plant, that’s not a problem, but here the issue is that flowering will still start on a fixed schedule. It will recover, but don’t expect a big, beautiful and fat plant 😉 For the next auto, above all don’t repot : go straight from the peat pellet to the final pot 👍
