Beginning of a phosphrous deficiency? Don't worry about the drinking.

This looks like a classic problem in the early flowering phase. The plant now has a significantly higher demand, and two factors are likely at play here: 1. Phosphorus & calcium deficiency: The brown rust spots on the leaves (necrosis) are typical of an early phosphorus deficiency, which often occurs alongside calcium deficiency when flowering really kicks in. 2. pH lockout or over-fertilization: The slightly yellow leaf tips indicate that the plant is at its limit. When the tips are yellow but rust spots appear at the same time, the pH level in the medium is often off. This causes certain nutrients to be blocked ("lockout"), even though they are actually present in the soil. What you should check: • pH level: Is your watering (including fertilizer) between 6.2 and 6.8? If the value is off, the plant can't absorb phosphorus/calcium. • CalMag: If you're growing under LED, the plants often need an extra dose of calcium/magnesium. • Watering behavior: Make sure the soil isn't constantly too wet, as this stresses the roots and hinders nutrient uptake. I would check the pH level first before increasing the fertilizer dose, otherwise, you risk serious over-fertilization. Good luck with the rest of the flowering! 🌿
