Can I bring her back?

My Canned heat #3 Plant grew up past the light in a 2x4 tent and pistils got burnt and the smell has gone away. Was waiting for bigger tent and light but now this light is too hot. Its around 78° week 5 of flower which is too high i think. Light is only at 55% as any higher will

Clone her and try again. I rerun things all the time. Everytime I get better and better results. But right now, I would say that she is early enough in flower, she will produce more pistils and still continue to produce for you. Also the smell should come back no matter what because she's barely even started producing mature trichomes. The smell you noticed may have been from the plant being burned by the lights.

reference a vpd chart and raise humidity accordingly - this will mitigate heat. 78F isn't too hot. Probably somewhere near what you want to maximize rate of photosynthesis, actually, but does not an approriate RH% and resulting VPD. If calculating based on atmospheric temp, keep it 1.5 kPa or below. If doing it correctly with leaf temps, adhere to what the VPD reference tables suggest for flower stage. (usually negative 4-5F offset for leaf temp) look up "HST" or i think it's called super cropping - though the technique existed long before the marijuana hobby grower's vernacular.. silly name nothing super about it. reduces g/sq ft not improves it. This simply imvolves snapping down branches to a lower level... if they are too brittle, they'll sever and that is obviously not ideal. may need to 'gently' damage a spot on a stem, then bend it down. You don't want branches completely snapping apart.. the vascular tissue must remain mostly intact. When done right, the leaves won't even wilt and it'll heal into a strong knuckle within 24-36 hours. They try to grow back upward, so while you may need to support it the first 24hours, then you'll need to tie them down so they don't try to reach back up above the light.

78°F is not too hot. It’s highly unlikely you’re getting heat stress or damage in mid-flower unless your other environmental parameters are out of whack. If that is the case, I’d suspect your instruments are miscalibrated. Also, taking temperature and RH readings from a single location doesn’t mean the entire room or tent is the same—depending on the setup, conditions can vary wildly from spot to spot. At that stage, I’m aiming for a minimum of 78°F. Another critical factor is leaf temperature. Like most things with cannabis, it’s rarely just one issue; it’s usually a combination of factors that cascade and cause problems.

Lay the branches by melting the stems, twisting the stem back using one hand and forth using the other hand , just keep on twisting back and forth until the stem starts to soften like if was melting. It won’t bring back the burned buds but at least it will save what is left.
