Beneficial Bacteria or Sterile RDWC?

RDWC Growers, I have a question. Do you run bene's or sterile? I've always done bene's because I've read that's what's best when dealing with high water temps. I don't have water temp issues any longer and I'm thinking of switching to sterile, using bleach. Opinions?

Viel Erfolg beim grow 🤞🏽👊👍

Its debatable in water but I directed someone on here to Orca due to their brown roots in water and they got better, could of been something else but it was more than likely the orca.Come to think of it they may have bought some Hydroguard which is the same thing. People chat so much shit on here. All soil-less is clearly not the same.Coco is nothing like water.Iv used used benefials in one way or another for over 10yrs on coco.We know less than 5% of what they do and orca had several different kinds when theres over 1000 of them.Iv been using Great White for over 10yrs and since using them on my seeds Iv never had any pythium/damping off.Its when the stem of the seedling becomes soft and mushy killing it off.Youve got the orca so you'd be much better off using it.Iv stopped using the great white with my compost tea as I don't want too may of the same kind killing off another. The compost, worm castings and other inputs will have a more diverse population.I use it only my seeds and dust my roots when transplanting. We have no idea the majority of things they do but they evolved over millennia with tthe plant. They do far more than convert minerals thats for sure.

As long as you have a proper top-off / drain-refill cycle... shouldn't matter much. myco isn't going to do much for soilless/hydro. the benefits it provides are mostly non-existent in this context. The P is readily available to the plant. The nutrients are all plant-available in hydro nutes, so baceteria doesn't need to break it down. the roots don't need help absorbign anything if sitting directly in the solution. I'd go with whatever is cheaper / more convenient / less work. All those products that promise huge increases to outcomes are nonsense. there is no magical product that will boost years 30% etc. Just doing this half-competently will result in 90% of what is possible. the last few percent of potential (ceiling) takes a lot of work and you get reduced returns for all that extra work, too. i.e. it's easy to keep a plant happy and get 90% of its potential.. it's difficult to realize the 'maximum potential' and probably not worth the effort. e.g. it's not cost-effective to add co2. it can be incredibly expensive to control the climate tightly. And, those 2 things have profound effects.

Things like orca will give your plants boosted vigor. The cost is very much worth it. I like like mixing orca and king crab together. Good luck. I wouldn’t use bleach in your system other than deep cleaning between grows. Hydrogen peroxide diluted would work a lot better when than bleach.
