Salam Habibi! 👋 Welcome to Week 8, the final stretch! 🏁 First of all, congratulations on surviving the spider mite attack. Releasing predator mites was a brilliant, biological countermeasure to save your crop. Let's look at your White Widow through the lens of Modern Engineering to explain exactly why she is so frosty but lacking heavy mass. 🛠️ 1. The Energy Redirection (Pest Stress): 🕷️ You mentioned a spider mite scare during flower. When a plant is attacked by pests, it physically shifts its internal energy budget. Instead of spending energy on expanding cell walls (bulking the calyxes), it goes into full defense mode. It pumps out massive amounts of resin and trichomes as a chemical shield to deter the bugs. This perfectly explains why your buds are "super frosty" but on the smaller side. 2. The Canopy Architecture: 🌳 Looking at your full plant, you have a beautifully healthy but extremely dense and leafy canopy. Because there are so many branches, leaves, and lower larf, the plant's hydraulic energy is divided across dozens of smaller bud sites instead of being funneled into a few massive top colas. 3. The Biological Clock (Trichomes): ⏱️ To answer your main question: Will she bulk late? Looking at your excellent macro shots, the trichomes are already transitioning to a heavy cloudy/milky state, and the pistils (hairs) are turning brown and curling inward. This mechanical signal tells us her engine is naturally shutting down to finish her life cycle. While she might push out a tiny bit more density in week 8 or 9, the primary window for massive structural swelling has already passed. The Verdict: ⚖️ This harvest is going to be a classic case of Quality over Quantity. The pest stress forced her to become hyper-resinous, so while the buds might not be huge, they are going to be incredibly potent, dense, and sticky! Keep your environment stable and let her ride out these last couple of weeks in peace. Happy Growing! 💚 Happy Growing! 💚Happy Growing! 💚

She is about done...........can't see her putting on any more from now on, only ripening. Poor genetics............try some older, big name seeds next time, like Barneys Farm or Sweet Seeds..............they both have very well sorted genetics. Mandala Seeds are awesome too, especially if you like more traditional cannabis.

White Widow cultivar grows slowly, stays short and compact. I have 2 diaries of this strain. @GreenHouseSeedCo White Widow : growdiaries.com/diaries/177568-grow-journal-by-b4rns Zamnesia Seeds : growdiaries.com/diaries/7321-white-widow

unless a second wave of calyxes develop, nope. MAybe what exists will fatten slightly more if it's not full ripened. donkey dick colas are a matter of genetics and less so number of colas per sq ft. More colas at some point doesn't add to yield but does reduce average size of buds as the same 'ceiling' for produciton gets spread out more across same size area. Looks leafy, so either genetically predispositioned for a high leaf ratio or it neede more light -- the grow light or less competition from itself due to crowding. Somethign you'll have to assess as pictures don't always show dpeth perception very well. Stick to 2-4 colas per sq ft and you'll get thicker colas.. or 1 primary cola will give you even large buds but also a higher proportion of larfier buds at the same time. environment (includes light provided) + area of canopy = yield relative to genetics... more colas after a common sense amount doesn't change that. Being disciplined about this will result in a much easier plant to grow, too.. less selective pruning needed, less wasted time and resources. the genetic variety of seeds is inevitable. Even if a plant is known to be a good yielder, you will see seeds that produce less. I cull mutated and weak plants in early vege, and i still get 1-2 weaker plants per 8 grown. The only way to avoid it is by buying clones with a known outcome.
