Honestly, in your situation I’d recommend harvesting now. From what I can see, most of the trichomes already look milky and some are starting to turn amber that’s right in the harvest window. Waiting longer might push it a bit further into a heavier effect, but you’re already in a very solid spot. The bigger issue is your timing. Leaving the plant unattended for 12 days that late into flower is risky. Those crunchy top leaves are already a sign that the plant is finishing up and getting more sensitive. If anything goes wrong with humidity or airflow while you’re gone, you could easily end up with bud rot and lose everything. So in your case, I’d say: chop it now, dry it properly while you’re still around to control the environment, and avoid unnecessary risk. CHOP THAT TREE đŸŒłâœ‚ïž Good luck and have a great day!

Hello majklsoft, for me there would be 2 options because you still got 2 weeks. The first one is to harvest 10 days before you leave and trim the buds wet so they dry a bit faster and put in the curing jars with humidity bags the day before you leave. The second option is to harvest 10 days before you leave and put the fresh buds inside the freezer for 2 days and make bubble hash after these 2 days. Then let the bubble hash dry for one week on a cold dark place with airflow and low humidity and after this week put everything what you do not want to smoke immediately in the freezer to keep the quality from the hash. You can keep it for a very long time like this and you can also press live rosin from this hash in small batches if you like!

You're in the harvest zone and 12 days is too long time to leave it alone. I'd harvest it before leaving. Enjoy the harvest :)

From the pics, she looks pretty far along and also pretty stressed the fading and crispy top leaves say she’s at the point where waiting is starting to trade quality for risk. I wouldn’t want fresh material drying unattended for 12 days while I’m away. Between the two options, I’d lean toward finishing before the trip rather than pushing it and leaving the dry unsupervised. A little early is usually better than coming back to over dry or mold problem 👊👍

"Im leaving home at D94" that's 17 days from today... it'll be ripe before you leave. If temp and rh are where they need to be it'll take 10-14 days to dry. You can only guess at this point.. .you'll have to see how the timing plays out.. will it dry before you get back? Can you have someone do some simple tasks like refill a humidifier or place them in jars? letting it ripen an extra day or two or a couple days fewer is no big deal, so do what is best given the time constraints when you actually know it's time to harvest. the answer will take care of itself.

I agree with you, trichomes are clear and cloudy, there’s not much milky and amber
Give them another 14 days to get some more milky and amber trichomes.

You obviously have two options here and the best option in my opinion would be heavily weighted on how good your drying technique is. If you have a hands on drying technique and need to consistently monitor the dry process then cut NOW! You should still have adequate time to dry before you leave. If you have a solid dry technique that you know for a fact works and is pretty hands off. Then you can wait till your trichomes are perfect to your liking. I would say it might be best if you choose this route to have someone check on it. But if you are confident you can hold adequate humidity in your drying area then I think your best bet is to cut down right before you leave. Either way, nice plant!

She looks close to ready, I would stick with your harvest-plan (D82), but check trichs again. For a simular situation I used the dryferm bags the first time. If you put your trimmed harvest in them and the bags in a halfways reasonable environment (max 20 degrees Celcius and 60% humidity) they dry to the right point and start ripening after it without the need of doing anything. When I came back I had my first smoke of a well dried harvest (although I do not do the whole curing process inside the dryferms. But I can switch to the grovebags or my jars whenever I want and not on a special day.
