Any tricks to push that final ripening stage?

Trichomes stuck cloudy forever – no amber in sight 😅 You aiming for 10–20% amber too? Any tricks to push final ripening??? less or more light? more UV or far-red? lower or higher temps? stress? or just wait it out? Is this stage simply not rushable? 👀

Hey growmie, you’re right in that classic “why won’t they turn amber already” phase 😅 Been there plenty of times. Honestly, at this point there’s not a whole lot you can force. Once they’re cloudy, you’re basically waiting on a slow natural fade - it’s more about the plant aging than “ripening faster.” If I were in your shoes, I’d just keep things steady and maybe give it a gentle nudge: Let temps dip a bit, especially at night (cooler nights seem to help them finish out) Don’t push the light harder - if anything, backing it off slightly is better than blasting them Keep feeding light / low nitrogen if you’re still feeding at all Good airflow, keep humidity in check - just clean conditions while you wait it out All that stuff like UV, far-red, stressing them, or dark periods
I’ve tried some of it over runs, and honestly, nothing really forces amber faster in a meaningful way. Mostly bro science or tiny effects at best. Big thing too - some strains just don’t go heavy amber. You might only ever see like 5–10%, and they’ll sit cloudy for ages. And cloudy is basically peak THC anyway, so you’re already in the sweet spot. From your pics, you look super close. I’d just give it another few days to a week and keep checking the calyx trichs (not the sugar leaves) - that’s where people get tricked into waiting too long. You’ve done the hard part already. Now it’s just patience 👍

External metabolism trigger : Increase heat (temperature) Internal metabolism trigger : add some Magnesium oxide (MgO) + Sulfur trioxide (SO3) This will enhance the oxidation (maturation) of the plant trichomes

Sacrifice a goat to Jobu under a harvest moon. Jobu can't hit a curveball but he can speed up the ripening process, if your faith is strong enough.

Great grow! Looks like a nice packed full tent. At this stage, I’ve learned over many years you can’t do anything that speeds it up. She will ripen up to your likening in time, but that’s just want you have to do, give it some time. I have heard some slight success with dropping overall temps to help this process along. Think of it in nature when they are outside and finally coming to an end as the temp starts to cool down as well. That would be about the only thing I would possibly mess with Aside from that, if you are just waiting around you can begin taking out the dead foliage because it has no use to the plant. Hope this helps.

Wow, congrats, that tent is absolutely packed. Looks seriously impressive. I know it’s tempting to try and push them further, like cranking up the light, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend that at this stage. From what I can see, you’re already right in the harvest window. I’d actually suggest harvesting now. The right side in particular looks quite dark and already a bit brownish, and with that kind of density I’d be worried about bud rot sneaking in and ruining all that hard work. Keep a close eye on humidity and make sure you’ve got strong airflow in the tent, especially in those dense areas. Really excited to see your final result. Enjoy the drying process and have fun trimming.😊👌

There isnt a whole lot you can do to hurry up the plant. By the look of your diary it says the light is on 22hrs, if that's correct then drop to 18hrs. Also it looks like you have a lot of dead leaves, remove them as they won't be doing anything for the plant, only remove the dead ones. Just a waiting game now for you.

there isnt much to do at the end. keep lights on low intensity and protect trichome integrity. it is rushable, but not like 'hurry the last week up' and more like 'short flowerering throughout'. things like shortening the photoperiod, consistent overnight temps, consistent medium temps are all things that can be used to help as others have pointed out, your photoperiod is pretty ???. especially if you want them to not sit there forever. your girls barely have enough dark period to exchange ANY free salts downward......much less repair any trichomes. tent prolly reeks from damaging trichomes/no repair/leaking secondaries. i agree going to a short photoperiod now directly would be a no no. at this point just start chopping an hour or so off the photoperiod daily.

Nice and frosty! The bad news is that there is no magic trick. The good news is that as long as the buds are developping they gain weight so you gain yield! Just be patient and this will be a very rewarding harvest! 💚

You are messing with its metabolism/internal clock by growing at 22/2..............18/6 really is optimal. Try reducing your lighting to 18/6, this may trick the plant into "thinking" that Fall is coming and get her to hurry up and finish maturing. Next grow, I suggest doing the whole run at 18/6.............all cannabis NEEDS "sleep" and 2 hours every 24 hour period is just not enough imo. Plants do certain metabolic processes during the dark cycle and without enough dark, a plants metabolism from this lack of processing can get messed up, leading to possible issues with either health, growth, flowering or maturation. The idea that it is ok to bombard plants with endless light just because they are autoflowers is so biologically flawed, that it is not funny.

DA ONLY TRICK IS PATIENCE!!! DA PLANT REQUIRES SUFFICIENT TIME TO COMPLETE ITS METABOLIC CYCLE!!!! DA TRICHOME MATURATION IS A BIOLOGICALLY PROGRAMMED SENESCENCE PROCESS THAT CANNOT BE ARTIFICIALLY FORCED OR RUSHED WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE QUALITY OF THE HARVEST!!! WHILE CULTIVATORS OFTEN SEEK METHODS TO ACCELERATE THE TRANSITION FROM CLOUDY TO AMBER TRICHOMES, THE SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS INDICATES THAT THIS COLOR CHANGE IS A RESULT OF OXIDATIVE DEGRADATION OF CANNABINOIDS, WHICH IS GOVERNED BY THE PLANT'S GENETIC EXPRESSION AND INTERNAL CLOCK!!!! ATTEMPTING TO MANIPULATE ENVIRONMENTAL VARIABLES SUCH AS LIGHT SPECTRUM, TEMPERATURE, OR STRESSORS OFTEN FAILS TO PRODUCE THE DESIRED AMBER HUE AND MAY INSTEAD LEAD TO A REDUCTION IN TERPENE PROFILE INTEGRITY AND OVERALL POTENCY!!! THE MOST EFFECTIVE STRATEGY FOR THE CULTIVATOR IS TO MAINTAIN OPTIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND ALLOW THE PLANT TO COMPLETE ITS NATURAL LIFE CYCLE, AS THE TRANSITION TO AMBER IS AN INEVITABLE STAGE OF MATURITY THAT REQUIRES TIME RATHER THAN EXTERNAL INTERVENTION!!!!
