Is Kings Juice normal height, why are the buds not growing bigger and fat. I have lots of popcorn bud growth underneath so I have put 4 small leds around. How much time you believe in harvest looking at the photos? Next steps? Suggestions im early week 16 now. lem orange last pic

hello my friend. At 16 weeks, you are on a very long cycle, which explains why you are impatient with the swelling of the buds. Here is the direct analysis: Why aren't the heads bigger? Genetics & Phenotype: King's Juice is a cross with Mimosa. She often produces very dense, ultra-resinous buds rather than "giant" and spongy buds. Excess leaves: Your plant is still very full of foliage. Energy is distributed everywhere instead of being concentrated at the peaks. Light: The little LEDs help with the popcorn, but it's the power of your main light that dictates the final pop. Time before harvest? Estimate: Observation: The pistils are starting to turn brown, but the buds still look "fresh". They will take on their final density (the “bulk”) in some time. Next Steps & Suggestions Late lollipoping: Don't hesitate to cut the "popcorn" heads that are really too small and in the shade at the bottom, even now. This will force the plant to send the remaining sugar to the main buds. Temperature: Lower the nighttime temperature a little (if possible around 18-19°C). This will positively stress the plant into producing more resin and potentially purple colors typical of King's Juice. Case of Lemon Orange (Last photo) It seems a little more advanced or has a different trichome structure. It looks very healthy, but pay close attention to the transparency of the trichomes, because Lemon can ripen suddenly. Your height is normal for this variety, it favors structure over size. Stop trying to make it grow, try to make it mature. I hope this will help you. have a good day and I wish you a very good harvest

Buds are still maturing, not finished yet. Expect about 2–4 weeks to harvest. Remove lower popcorn buds, reduce nitrogen, keep bloom nutrients, and maintain good environment and light. Final swelling happens in the last weeks, so be patient. But if not enough light has been present during growth and other factors kicked in theres not much to do but some just takes time

Long term over feeding can cause over leafy plants with retarded flower development.........and these plants certainly look like long term over fed to me. Otherwise, genetics determines everything. Not much you can do about it now, except finish them and do things differently next grow. Defoliation reduces a plants ability to make energy.............I fail to understand how reducing energy production results in bigger buds! I never remove even a single leaf and never have issues with small top buds.

This is likely because there are too many bud sites that the plant cannot focus all its energy enough to grow bigger buds everywhere. I did this a lot in the beginning wanting to "maximize: the number of bud sites I had. Buds didn't get big due to the plant having to disperse nutrients/energy/growth to too many spots that it could not devote enough to grow the tops/main bud sites bigger. Next time, I would consider defoliation. I now defoliate up to 1/2 or 2/3 up depending on number of plants in my tent if I am doing a sea of green or screen of green, etc. This will also help airflow, light penetration (which could also be an issue) and reduce the risk of PM or bud rot if things get dense. You will still get buds but they will be smaller than some of the monster grows you see from others.

too many branches too many popcorn stretching could be due to lack of light or K don't see there problem but burned tips, which tells me it's rather K excess

Genetics is the ceiling. Some plants simply will not grow large colas. Large colas are not necessarily great as they come with increased risk of mold. First, to avoid writing a book, let's assume things are done in a competent way that does not reduce outcomes... canopy size and the amount of light (DLI) will strongly correlate to yield. How that yield is distributed will be impacted by your training methods. More colas and bud sites will dsitribute that mass into smaller overall buds and same/similar yields as fewer colas with larger buds resulting. This isn't a min-max strategy. This is more about finding a happy zone that meets your needs. Some people want to eliminate larf completely, some want a portion to use for extracts while ensuring they don't over-lollipop a portion of their potential yield. You only want 2-3 colas per sq ft and you only want a particualr amount of lower axillary growth (axilla = branches) specific observations of these particular plants: I see stretching which indicates the light isn't strong enough (assuming it isn't genetics). The number of leaf fingers didn't progress very well, which indicates some imbalance in the feed and also looks to be slightly overfed. There's a ton of axillary growth, so you got a bunch of 'suckers' down below. I don't know if this plant would have produced donkey dicks, but correcting some of this may have given more substaintial buds, but the yield would be similar if already providing 'max' DLI relative to ambient co2 and climat conditions. These plants are quite robust. Even less-than-optimal conditions will still turn out fairly well. life is messy.. not all generalization apply to all plants. cross referencing more information can better resolve the picture. e.g. if you know you are providing 35-40 dli, then light intensity isn't the problem. Lots of moving variables and difficult to account for them all when trying to explain why someone didn't get donkey dick colas.

G'day KOKA420! Week 16 is a long run, especially for an auto or even most photos. King's Juice (Mimosa x King's Kush) usually has a pretty standard hybrid height, but if yours stayed small, it might have been stunted early on. The reason those buds aren't "fattening up" is likely down to light intensity and genetics. While adding those small LEDs for the popcorn buds is a creative move, it’s usually better to "lollipoping" (pruning) those bottom sites early so the plant focuses all its energy on the top colas. Looking at the frost, they look sticky, but the structure is quite airy. As for harvest: looking at the white pistils still reaching out, you've probably got 2 more weeks. Next steps? Stop worrying about the popcorn buds—they'll never truly catch up. Focus on the main tops, ensure your pH is stable, and maybe look into a stronger primary light for the next run if you want that "rock hard" density. You’re close, just let her finish the best she can! Happy Growing, Growmie!

Height depends of course on your veg. Light distance and so on... So it is normal? 😅 Regarding the buds. Well, one reason that a stack up is still coming. Another could be the plant. Not every seed is a winner. Another reason is given by yourself. You seem to have a lot of popcorn buds.. if you have many flowers - the single flowers will of course be smaller. The plant has certain physical limitations.. I am no expert for dwc but I'd suggest mostly root mass + temp + rh + light + co2. If you hit the spot the only thing is genetics or .. too much popcorn (also genetic "fault" perhaps) Anyway, you have a lot of trichomes so extract is probably better if you prefer big fat flowers and are not satisfied with your outcome. But I'd wait before I judge them, still some time to go and perhaps they surprise you.

Happy grow dude😉✌️
