I think I know what I can do better next time, but for now, what can I do to manage such a dense and bushy plant? I defoliated five days ago, but she keeps bouncing back quickly. Should I continue removing leaves as needed, or would that cause too much stress? Day 25
Solved
Leaves. Too many
Techniques. ScrOG
Techniques. Defoliation

Hi my friend It is so compact that the air no longer circulates in the center at all. If you leave it like this, humidity will stagnate between the stuck leaves, which opens the door to botrytis (gray rot) or powdery mildew. Continue defoliation but strategically. Rather than removing leaves everywhere, apply the 3 ā€œPā€ rule: Depth: Remove the large fan leaves that point inward to free the central trunk. Penetration: Remove leaves that directly hide lower bud sites. Floor: ā€œCleansā€ the bottom of the plant over the first 5-10 centimeters (Lollipop) to force air up from the bottom. Don't worry about stress. Your plant has incredible vigor. It can withstand more severe defoliation. Tip: Instead of removing 2 leaves every day, do a big blunt session now, then leave it alone for 10-14 days. Repeated daily stress is worse than a big one-time "cleaning". and I also advise you to do. LST (Training): Since it is bushy, spread the branches outwards with ties to open the heart of the plant. Ventilation: Make sure you have a fan blowing under the canopy and another on top. I wish you a great session and a great harvest.

If your rh is fine and/or air circulatio can reach everything .. she looks fine for me ATM. If she Fades or just fatten up.. perhaps a leave here and there from time to time..

Yeah I feel you, that’s a proper bushy girl šŸ˜„ Honestly you already did the right move with the defoliation, but since she’s bouncing back that fast it means she’s healthy and can take a bit more — just don’t go too aggressive all at once. Instead of another heavy strip, I’d go with light, selective defoliation every few days. Focus on the big fan leaves that are blocking light to lower sites and anything sitting in the middle with no airflow. At this stage it’s not just about removing leaves, it’s more about opening her up. You can also combine it with a bit of LST, just spreading branches out so light actually penetrates the canopy. That’ll do more than just constantly plucking leaves. If you keep ripping too much at once, yeah you’ll slow her down, but small maintenance defoliation + training = perfect balance. Also make sure the underside isn’t turning into a jungle, a bit of cleanup down there helps airflow a lot and prevents future issues. She looks strong though, so you’ve got some room to work with — just guide her instead of fighting her growth. Happy Growing Growmie 🌱?šŸ’š
