Systemic Foxtailing & High Nutrient Consumption

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on whether to chop or keep going. I’m currently in Week 11 of bloom with this autoflower, and I’m seeing heavy systemic foxtailing and new white pistils popping up across the entire plant. The buds currently feel quite airy.

I think you waited too long based on how much amber in the first picture, and the plant started popping a new wave of calyxes/pistils.. so.. do you over-ripen the old growth to allow the new growth to finish? Up to you. There's no getting around the vase difference in 'age' of portions of flower. Do one or the other... this is a matter of personal opinion.

Reduce your light on time by 2 hours and this will get it to stop re-flowering and hurry up and finish. Nothing will change the airy buds this late in the flowering cycle.

Hey Honey_plant! At Week 11 of bloom, heavy foxtailing and those new white pistils are usually a sign of heat or light stress rather than a sign the plant needs more time to "bulk up." Since the buds already feel airy, keeping it going might just result in more leafy growth instead of denser flowers. Here is my take: • Check your trichomes: This is the only way to be sure; if you see mostly milky with some amber, it's time to chop. • Stress check: If your lights are too close or it's too hot, that's what's triggering the new "second" growth you're seeing. • Don't wait for white hairs: In cases of stress-induced foxtailing, the plant will keep throwing white pistils forever, so don't use them as your harvest guide. If the trichomes look ready, I'd say harvest now before the quality degrades further! Happy Growing, Growmie!

That looks like classic foxtailing from light/heat stress. The new white pistils are the plant trying to keep growing. At week 11 I wouldn’t chop yet — just let it finish and check trichomes. It won’t get much denser, but potency can still improve.
