No you don’t defoliate after the stretch… The plants will move their nutrients by themselves, particularly Nitrogen, they will select which leaves is going to die, at this point your job is to wait and remove dead leaves.

Never defoliate autos, it causes stress and tikes time to recover from that caused stress. 🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴🇧🇴 Relax

nope.. defoliation is a self-inflicted need, if needed at all. If you don't over-crowd, never need to remove mass amounts of leaves.. should always avoid that if possible. if you think some areas are congested and concerned about infection, go ahead and remove a few select leaves.. don't create holes in your canopy. bud sites do not need direct light.. never favor a bud site over a leaf absorbing light. apical dominance dictates what grows densely vs larf. I regularly leave buds covered up and they never look different than other equivalent buds on the plant. again, direct touching and 'suffocating' of leaves of buds would be a bad thing in extreme cases. Buds that are pushed up against each other often lose their color at point of ocntact etc and prone to disease. apply common sense in those situations... with a well-managed canopy, proper light penetration happens on its own. needing to prun a ton of shit off just means you wasted a lot of electricity, time and fertilizer.

Hey Organic_G! Defoliating after the stretch is definitely a good idea, especially with a canopy as dense as yours. It helps massively with airflow and allows light to reach those lower bud sites that are currently shaded. Just be selective focus on removing the larger fan leaves that are blocking the light from the flowers below and anything that's tucked away at the bottom. Since autos have a fixed lifecycle, you don't want to overdo it and cause too much stress, so a "less is more" approach is usually best. Your plants look super healthy, so they should handle a light trim just fine! Happy Growing Growmie🌱

Nein, jedes Blatt erfüllt seinen Zweck wenn die Pflanze die Blätter nicht brauchen würde dann würde sie selbst das Blatt entsorgen. Sorge für genug Luft Bewegung und es wird ihr gut gehen.

Yes, but keep it light 👍 Remove a few big fan leaves blocking bud sites and airflow, don’t go heavy on autos. Better to do small, gradual defoliation than one big strip.

Wait until you see bud sites developing then only remove leaves that are blocking bud sites from receiving light. You can also remove a some leaves if they are stacked on top of each other (to prevent moisture getting trapped in between).

Just remember............. Less leaves = less energy being made = less potential.
