@Ultraviolet_ i was trying to grow it even but some colas didn,t catch up, the left side and some in center... i think i have to cut em to, when the tallest overgrow i,ll prune em too to stop stretching and focus on fattering, wanted to do 16 colas but there much more šŸ˜

hi Yes, you can cut if they are really low. If some branches on the left or center are more than 6-8 inches below the main canopy, they will never receive enough light to grow into dense buds. They will just consume energy to make "popcorn". Keep a balance Since you wanted 16 bud but you have more, you have some margin. Keep the 16 to 20 strongest and sacrifice the small, stunted shoots in the center. Pruning Pay attention to timing If you are still in the stretch phase (start of flowering), cutting the highest peaks (Super-cropping or Late Topping) will effectively redirect the energy downwards. Before cutting, try to bend (Super-cropping) the highest branches. You pinch the stem between your fingers until you feel an internal crack, then you lay it horizontally. I read that it stops vertical growth without losing the main head, and it "boosts" the lower branches but I have never tested it to be honest. This is the advice I can give you if I understand your question correctly. have a good day and good luck. you have a beautiful plant.

Hey John_Kramer! That's a massive amount of colas you've got going there. When you're trying to manage a "Sea of Green" or just a very even canopy, pruning the tallest tops is definitely a viable way to slow down the stretch and redistribute that energy to the lower sites for fattening. However, just be careful not to take too much off at once while she's in full bloom to avoid unnecessary stress. If you keep the height in check now, those 16+ colas should really start to swell up nicely and fill out that space! Happy Growing Growmie🌱
