Don't panic, you're going to be absolutely fine! First, to ease your mind: a one-time extended dark period will not cause your plants to reveg. Reveg (re-vegetative growth) happens when photoperiod plants get more than 12 hours of light, disrupting their flowering hormones. Extra darkness won't trigger that, but it can occasionally cause some minor stress or, in worst-case scenarios with unstable genetics, hermie issues if it happens repeatedly.
Since it's just a one-off 5 to 7-hour power cut, the best and easiest thing you can do is adjust your timer to match their schedule for that day. You can simply let the plants stay in the dark longer, or shift your light cycle ahead of time so the power outage falls exactly during their scheduled night period. Just make sure that once the power comes back on, you return them to a strict 12/12 routine. If you can't change the timer, just letting them sit through the extra dark hours for that single day is still much safer than having light leaks during their dark cycle. Keep your extraction fans in mind though, as a couple of hours without airflow can cause humidity to spike, so try to keep the tent closed to preserve the environment. Happy Growing Growmie🌱
