In my experience with HSC, which is only 4-5 strains, they tend to be less than ideal plants early on but turn out fine when it matters. Stick with it even if it looks a bit funky or not growing in the most optimal way... it'll make up for it later, probably.
Though, i do think some of their strains are a bit fluffier than average. I like denser buds - that's an opinion, not a universally good vs bad context. The populay blueberry muffins wasn't as tight as i prefer. mountaintop mint was the same. Vanilla creme pie was awesome in that regard. Another unreleased hsc strain was awesome too. .i i'm 50/50 on that and wil be growing farmer's daughter later this year.
on top of that autos are at best 90-95% of the quality of the photoperiod version. Tainted genetics.
