gotta love the instant pyrethrin suggestion. as if this place wasnt wild enough, now chat has every IPM question response "nuke everything bro, skip any work dawg, just amazon some crazy shyte"
deal with pests by proper procedures. caring about what you are doing. sticking to your plan. not bending rules. not skipping work. not being lazy. not making exceptions. that is how you deal with pests. every day, every plant, every leaf. fresh clothes, fresh shower, every time. etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc. in facilities people get paid to do this. in your grow room, your crop should be paying you to do this (value-wise). just like all experienced cultivators are going to tip toe through any damping off risk periods, pest pressure in general isn't magically "not there" because you dont see it. add into that the huge line of folks who need the bumper rails and training wheels on their grows, then take that living web indoors, then pretend pests dont exist...and spread thrips to your friends. in a few months all of yall will have gear for pennies on the dollar on FB marketplace. that is usually how this goes (IMO)
thrips (for me) would be crossing people out.............right after I took one mother into a drench bath and began breaking down every single piece of gear in that room, for a sanitizing bath. all plants other than the mother in any phase of life, even ones days before harvest, culled. some fumigation with chlorine gas. etc. once rebuilt, talking 3-7 weeks of extra SOPs to watch for any errors in taking care of them. my worst case scenario for a thrip infestation is "damn, this facility/space is no longer a proper grow space and is now decommissioned for me"
thrips are bad and to me are a direct implication that either you yourself or someone you hang with is a loose gardener to say the least
