Why defoliate? It is not a required "technique" when growing cannabis. If the plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place! Just remember.......... more leaves = more energy being produced = more potential. Or.............. less leaves = less energy being made = less potential.

Hi miasmatic, since your plant is already in the early bloom stage, you can absolutely do some light defoliation. Focus on removing the large fan leaves that are blocking light to the lower bud sites or any leaves that are touching the soil. Just don't overdo it—take a few at a time and see how she reacts over the next couple of days. It will definitely help with airflow and overall bud development. Happy growing

You can do this of course.......But "normally" you would do it before blooming to maximize the effect. But you wont harm the plant if you do it now.

Removing a leaf or two that is overlapping and causing persistent condensation and can't otherwise be tucked or bent somehwere else is worth removing, but don't remove leaves just to remove leaves. That does not do the things the peanut gallery says it does. It does not "focuse resources on buds..." it's not magic like that. leaves aren't just for absorbing light. they perform several functions, one of which is transpiration. The limiting factor for your growth is most likely ambient co2 in atmosphere, so reducing transpiration is nearly impossible to overcome with some magical benefit that nobody has ever measured or proven to even exist. few things that negatively impact co2 or light absorption will be outweighed by some benefit that results from those behaviours... it's bad math.
