They live test this site all the time, that's why isn't always broken... As for the tick, I believe it's for a future "premium" subscription - nothing is for free these days

Same with my profile.
It may also have something to do with the "Premium" tag under the Website name. I would think that a checkmark with a green background would mean you're a premium member, while red might mean a free account with ads. I'm just speculating here, but maybe they are rolling out some kind of subscription ad-free business model to help keep the website going. That would make sense since hosting a site like Grow Diaries can't be cheap.
