You've been given a lot of good advise already. I just thought id throw in my 2 cents. Dont be afraid to mess up. Like others said, ITS GONNA HAPPEN! No one starts out growing top shelf bud. If you see it on a diary, I doubt its really their first grow. There is so much to learn about growing these plants. And so much that hasn't really been studied. People find what works for them and stick with it to get the best product they can. Live, grow, and learn! If it were super easy, everyone would do it and there would be no reason for forums for people to help other people out based on what they've experienced. Just because a fix worked for someone who's plant looked similar to a problem you have, doesnt mean it will fix yours. Some people on here generally want to help, so most wont give you bad advise on purpose, but atill may give bad advise. Ive done it. It also happens. At the end of the day, we need to stay a close community set on helping each other. After all, we all want the same thing. To be able to grow our won supply and not have to be raped by dispensaries or the plug who's trying to make you pay for his new house and Mercedes to go with it. Lol Best of luck! Happy Growing!

You'll learn more by messing up. It took me 5 grows to finally get something useful. You'll get 20 different answers to the same question so do your own research, there are several dispensary growers with videos and such

You will inevitably mess up, maybe not to a critical extent but everybody makes mistakes early on and that's how you learn. Before your questions can be answered properly, you must first choose a path. Advice differs a lot between Autoflowers and Photoperiodic plants, between hydro and soil, etc. etc. etc. Once you've chosen a path, you can ask specific questions and get answers you can actually use in your situation.. The biggest mistake is not starting the first grow :)

I keep fans on from day 1 and same with extraction. Measure pH before watering. Get good watering practices. Like jungle said avoid autos for 1st few grows, I had plenty of experience with photoperiod and autos really fucked me over for a number of years when I switched to them.

Bom dia, Na minha opinião se vai começar o seu primeiro cultivo nao deveria começar por hidroponia ate se sentir a vontade com a planta. Eu aconselho a começar por solo de boa qualidade, permite-lhe qua nao esteja tao preocupada com as quantidades de fertilizantes, (ph e ppm) que deve usar e o solo sendo de qualidade, ja vem nutrido e micro e macro nutrientes, bastando uma fertelização simples nas regas (cuidado com excesso de fertelização=bloqueios de nutrientes). A extração deve estar sempre ligada e os ventilador deve estar ligados sobre a planta quando a luz estiver ligada. Tambem aconelho a escolher bons bancos de sementes e com uma genetica simples e indicada para iniciantes, costumam ser mais resistentes e menos exigentes. Boa sorte...

They still turned out okay. Switched to soilless and ran into a good formula by my 2nd grow and everything was pretty easy after that. The only learning curve after that was when i scaled up... learn just how much moisture a large canopy releases and the problems that come with it indoors. Get some JAcks 3-2-1... Part A 5-12-26 along with any generica caclium nitrate and magnesium sulfate (epsom) ... if that brand isnt' available, any simile 3-part setup is going to essentially be the same if 2 of the parts are caclium nitrate and epsom salt jr peters (jacks), megacrop, kosher salts, masterblend, southern ag, athena, and many others all have something similar. This should not come with a premium price as the ingredients are commodities and fairly cheap. Ideally, fertilizer should be one of your smallest costs -- 4 cents per gallon mixed is a good goal. Avoid marijuna brands if the product already exists, otherwise. That 'marijuana' association usually comes with a hefty price for no reason. Very likely anything you see sold as 'for marijuana exists as a generic item of much lower cost.
