Making rosin is like and artform theirs so many variables. It takes some experimentation too. and every plant responds differently. If doing flower rosin you can press it before its completely dried and may have more flavor. just don't want it too wet. about 68 percent humidity. I press mine directly after fully drying and trimming because I like to know what my dry yield is. sometimes skipping trimming. I pressed around day 8 of 13 before and that gave me some lighter colored greasy potent rosin. I fold the corners of the bag (160-120 micron) in so it makes a round puck after pressing. I pack my bags pretty tight and try to make them fit like a Tetris puzzle and not building up in one area too much. after i get the bag cut and folded over its usually just a little too big to big between my plates.. Then i squish it between the palms of my hands pretty hard until i can fit between the plates. it should have some memory and spring back into place and hold itself inside the plate. Then slowly apply pressure. keep going until you feel resistance and it locks up. like hand tightening a bolt. let it heat up around a minute, minute and a half, and should start to see it start to flow. increase the pressure slowly without it going below the previous psi reading. Sort of in a expediential rate. you need to figure out you target psi for you press and bag size and then play around with it. I pressed a few hundred grams on my nugsmasher mini before i really got it dialed in. i got a new press with a electric hydraulic pump since i was putting lots of strain on my body making that much rosin with such a small machine. and its a new learning cure. I'm pressing 1 oz at a time now it can handle 2 oz but it does take a little longer to heat up. Haven't had a chance to do a decent bubble hash run yet during winter. unless you have really dry cold temps it almost requires a freeze dryer. their are some people who can dry bubble hash well. but its not easy. I have don't some dry sift hash and its nice but it tents to be more "for lack of better term" shuddery. my flower rosin has much more flavor and better consistency. Some of them almost look like bubble hash but you do get more wax in the final product. when i cold cure mine it forms a protective cocoon round my rosin, i store mine in individual 1g so I'm not dealing with sticky rosin all the time. can use it to dose edibles. I'm ranting now I'll stop lol you can check out my rosin here there some other dudes on here making some nice hash too!

Fire in, fire out. Only if you put in quality do you get quality out. YouTube is really great for that. There are also strains that are not suitable for pressing at all. YouTube and have fun watching the honey run for the next few hours.

I was rambling too much and forgot to mention. That after i fully dry my buds for my yield. I will take the stuff i want to make rosin out of and put it in a big stainless steel mesh strainer in side a tub with a wet paper towel at bottom and bump the humidity of the bud up 8-12 hours before pressing. don't want to do it too long and get mold going on. just enough to get it backup to around 68. the buds will become fluffier. it helps the rosin flow out on the the paper instead of soaking into the flower. this should help your yields. I load up the filter bags with bud them put them back in the container until ready to press. and i also keep my pressing room cool, and around 65 percent humidity
