Koko is better controllable, but it often has problems with fungus gnats... Everything has its pros and cons... if you're coming from soil, treat Koko like a light mix with a big plant, so no seedlings... so no 4-6 weeks of pre-fertilization included... CalMg is very important and of course, it has a completely different pH value, so that must be at least present... Better to have several small watering cycles or one big one with drainage; everyone has their own way of doing it... Tip: Drain doesn't necessarily have to be there, just don't over-fertilize if you're unsure; better to use half the dose and see, the plants react to Koko faster.

I would say use canna Coco fertz. It's only 2 bottles for the whole grow and then whatever else you want to add, there boost is excellent but the price is high like everything else these days. There whole range is good.. are you listening canna..give me feeeed..lol joke but yeah there good...

coco isn't magic.. it's simple an inert medium that generally holds less water than other options - neither good or bad, just is. This is why you need less perlite in it to reach a proper gas:water mix pervolume (33% vs 50% perlite) simple treat it like any other soilless medium... essentially like hydro in a lot of ways, except there is a physical medium. Full diet, every irrigation with fertilizer that is 100% soluble and 100% plant-available upon dissolution. Always give 10% runoff or more. This avoids buildup in medium and makes any nutritional problem simply a matter of fixing your formula. lots of myths around coco, like that it needs excess calcium. This is only true if it was poorly produced coco. If buffered poorly, it will leech Ca. If that ever happens, stop buying from that brand, lol. Make sure it's washed and buffered, or you have to do that at home.
