Is 50% rh really ok for a seedling, 1 day old ? Google-Ki says no problem and to remove the 'Plastic domes' ..? (with 26C and 6.500 lux)

Personally, I wouldn’t run a one-day-old seedling at just 50% RH. In the first few days, the root system is still developing and the plant isn’t able to take up water as efficiently as an established plant. Low humidity can increase water loss through the leaves and put unnecessary stress on the seedling. I’d aim for around 70% RH or slightly higher at this stage, with gentle airflow and without too much light intensity. At 26°C and 6,500 lux, I’d keep an eye on the light as well. Looking at your photo, the seedling doesn’t look particularly happy, although humidity alone isn’t enough to determine the cause. I’d check the moisture in the medium, light intensity and humidity together. My advice: give her a stable, gentle environment for the first few days and let the roots establish before gradually adapting to conditions for more mature plants. 🌱

Seedlings do not need domes.

26C and 50% RH is a ~1.7 kPa VPD -- that's a tad high for any stage. Leaf temp is cooler than the atmosphere, so i'd assume you are referencing atmospheric temp? You may be closer to 1.5 kPa, but that's still high for a seedling. A dome restricts airflow, so definitely want to remove that once they sprout. A little higher RH would be better, but i don't think your current conditions will cause a catastrophe. ~1.5 vpd is a bit high for mature vege, but not as far off as it is for a seedling. Get a humidifier.. they are cheap to run. Avoid the 'atomizer/vaporizer' style. Those are the ones that leave a film over every surface. The evaporative ones with a wick and fan won't leave a film behind. Or, you simply live with the results as is. If you don't want to or can't control the climate, best to just not pay attention to it, lol. Definitely avoid extreme VPD conditions... you'll stunt a plant (too high) or cause mold (too low) etc. I included a video below on VPD... in my experience problems start before 2.0 kPa, but he's just giving ballpark figures to work with. A plant can grow in a wide range of VPD without too many problems. You can adapt your feeding to those conditions. www.youtube.com/watch

Yes as soon as you see green dome can go. 50 rh should be ok if the seedling falls over put dome back on. I run my seedling 65rh but you should be fine.
