@Randyaster, Get a real light meter and use the PPFD Meter app, this is way more accurate, you can get away with a light meter for around 20-30 bucks/euros from alibaba, you dont have to buy the expensive ones the youtubers show off :D
I found the light settings being the most difficult before i got a meter, the nutrients, the PH, how much to water, everything got solved when i got the tray2grow from autopot, not having to think about if i underwatered or overwatered the ladies, they feed when they need it themselves, but trying to guess the amount of lights they got was really hard, i used photone as well, but when it started to cost to add features like what kind of light u have, etc, i went for a cheap meter at alibaba and my tents are exploding :D
The ladies i have now have stretched so much compared to the other strains i have in the tent, hence the reason they get around 65 DLI, because they're pretty much at the same height as the light, despite a lot of LST, they just keep growing, but if i raise the lights, the other strains in the tent wont get as much DLI as they need, and i dont want to raise the power on my lights because of the extreme cost of electricity right now, i figured the ladies just have to deal with a higher DLI and i'm really surprised of how well they're taking it, i'm not using extra CO2 either, it's crazy how big they get, lol, i would def recommend you do at least one more run with GCA and give them as much nutrients as your feed schedule recommend from day 14-15, but that's just me! :)
Good luck with the rest of the grow and your future adventures bro!
@knoxknox88, Thanks! I think my DLI was at about 43 when I had her at 20/4. I’ve changed it to 18/6 about 2 weeks ago. I’m using the photone app to measure that. I do think the leaves have been less droopy since I changed that. I have the lights (150w) at 70% at the moment. I’m trying to see if there is light stress.
I appreciate the comment, as I have been focusing a lot on the nutrients / feeding amounts / ph levels. I just fed her this morning with just below the recommended dosage of grow and bloom. (I’ve been slowly increasing from half dosage over the past couple of weeks)
I have 2 more seeds of GCA but I might try something else once this grow is done.
Thanks again!
@Randyaster, my tapwater has about 400 PPM from the start, i dont de-chlorinate it at all, and it works just fine for me with my added nutrients, i just follow the schedule from the nutrient company and it works without issues for me, Gorilla Cookies can really take a beating, with low and high nutrient solutions, low and high DLI, i'm rocking 65 DLI for my GCA right now and it's loving it, lol.
Could have been a touchy variant you got tho, i'm not doubting you, just telling you my experience with this strain and what it can handle, so in my opinion, i dont think it's the bottled waters base at 400 PPM that is the issue here.
