@Northernwizard, Interesting that they said 24”. I’ve been liking the results with the lights close, short nodes, dense buds. I’m probably gonna stay around the 12” distance. My last grow, had a bud start turning all white, thought it was mold at first but was honest to goodness bud turning all white. Bit more research indicated it was over the top trichome production. Led light users have seen that from time to time I guess. Apologies for the delayed initial reply, never got a notification.

@Northernwizard, You’re very welcome! You can always try 1 grow at whatever distance. Then try a 2nd grow (same strain maybe, for better comparison) at a different distance. I’m still really new, only on my 3rd grow. My grows have all been around 12” - maybe I should try a grow at 18”. And another grow at 24”. I’d be concerned about stretching / longer internode length. Never thought to check what other growers using these lights were at.

@Northernwizard, Hey hey. I aim for 10-12 inches between plant and lights. Closer lights lead to shorter internode length / shorter plants. As we’re running led lights we can get away with closer distances because they don’t run as hot as bulbs. What distance are your lights at ? What’s the reasoning / thought ? I’m really new so by no means should you follow my advice or lead. Aside from - if you haven’t read any text books - I recommend The Cannabis Grow Bible. Well worth the 35 dollars.
