This review is written 1,5 year after harvest, but I still wanted to end this diary. This was a great strain to grow and smoke, even though I had some problems during the grow. This grow resulted in my biggest yield until now. The 320 grams is a (conservative) estimate, as I don’t have the exact numbers anymore (it was way over 300 grams). So, the strain is definitely a big yielder. The tops were heavy, but a little bit airy here and there, as sativa buds usually are. Both plants developed very different. One was clearly an indica pheno and did not yield nearly as much as the sativa pheno. The latter was also significantly bigger and took more space in the tent. As for smell, taste and effect, both plants also differed a lot. The sativa pheno smelled great: a strong, skunky odor, with fresh, mint-like tones. The indica pheno smelled like ‘home grown’. Not really like hay, but it lacked the real weed odor we’re all familiar with and it had a kind of dull smell. As for the taste, the same can be said. The sativa pheno was a smooth smoke, while the indica pheno was a bit harsh, but after a few months of curing, it improved a little bit. Both plants were grown and dried under exactly the same circumstances, so these differences must be genetic. The same goes for the effect: the sativa pheno gave a really energetic, creative and active high, the indica pheno had a more relaxing, sometimes sleepy effect. I really like the sativa pheno, but the indica pheno… not so much. I’d give the sativa pheno a 10/10 and the indica pheno a 6/10. Therefor, I rate this strain with 8 out of 10.

All seeds germinated, but one didn't made it above the soil because I buried it to deep. In the beginning, I had some CalMag problems (it was my first grow on coco), but after adding it into the fertigation mix, the girls started to grow vigorously. The plants from this strain respond extremely well to training. After just topping once and a few LST sessions, I was able to create a nearly flat canopy. I think this strain is great for a Scrog grow. It takes about 9 to 10 weeks to flower; an early harvest (8 weeks of flower) is possible, but it will probably cost you some yield. I had no problems with any kind of diseases or parasites. Apart from the first few weeks (when I didn't add CalMag to he coco) the grow was an easy ride. Leave to bud ratio is quite good, however, one of the buds of one of the three plants (I named her Iris) were a little bit worse: they had more sugar leaves compared to the buds of the other two plants. Because of this, smoking the buds for Iris does give a bit of a throat hit. As for the effect: I haven't been able to detect any difference between the girls. It's a balanced combination between a mental high and a physical stoned. After two weeks of curing, the effect is a bit more 'clear in the head' and it took 20 to 30 minutes to get into a more mellow stoned. However, after 6 weeks of curing, the effect is balanced right from the start. It is great for relaxing, watching a movie, etc., but it can also help you focus deeply. There are some couch lock effects: when doing a job, you have to get yourself started, but once you're 5 minutes in, it really seems to help me focus and do a job accurately. Also: it makes you rob the fridge. I also made some ice hash from the trim. The hash from the trim that I dried was great, but the hash from the trim that I froze directly after harvest was superior. It gives the same kind of effect, very mellow and goes on for hours. The taste of the smoke is peppery and pungent. All in all: great strain, it was able to withstand the heat and high humidity at the end of the grow (no mold). Training it is a delight, it's easy to create a flat canopy. Nice balanced effect.

After one week of drying and two weeks of curing, the buds start to smell really nice. Also, the structure of the buds changed: they became more soft, while they were a bit raw (like sandpaper) at the beginning of the cure. The buds are very sticky, you really need a grinder to crumble them. I am amazed by the high yield of 254 grams from these 3 plants (excluding the trim and popcorn buds): I'd never expect a first grow like this to yield this much. The high of Ceylin is well rounded, both a body and mental high; her smoke is smooth. After while, the high changes from more uplifting to a more relaxed, sleepy body stoned. Also, combined with tobacco, Ceylin delivers a strong body stoned. Very sedative and good to sleep on. The high of Benthe is more energetic. A strong mental high, even when combined with tobacco. Also, smoking her buds, gives slight throat hit, but nothing extreme. That said, Benthe produced a bunch of bigger buds (5-10 gram each), while the other plants produced mostly smaller buds. I have only tried a few of the smaller buds, so there might be a difference in the high these bigger buds can produce. After a while, the stoned from Benthes buds settles down into a more relaxed and sleepy high. I haven't had the chance to try Anna's buds yet. I'll expect them to be more energetic, as Anna got harvested a bit too early. The strain is very easy to grow and can provide a big yield very fast. It doesn't need much, especially in the vegetative phase. When it switch to full flower, they need more, but I still never used more than 50% of the recommended doses (GHE FloraTrio). I accidentally topped Benthe 2 nodes down in week 4, while flowers were already showing. However, she produced the most and also she had relatively more big buds compared to the others. Hence, topping is highly recommended with this strain. It also reacts very good to LST: many side shoots make it to the top of the canopy. I had no problems with mold or any other pests. I overfed in the vegetative stage and underfed in during flowering. Despite my mistakes, the plants still yielded a lot of quality flower. Very easy to grow, recommended for beginners.
