@Aquemini, Mate, U are the best.:ok_hand::facepunch:I didn’t even know that it is possible to purchase RO water from a shop. I was thinking always about those expensive machines.lol I found also close to our home a place I can take. So if I am good, by RO water need to adjust the PH only one time and don’t need to worry about fluctuation. Have a nice day buddy.:seedling::sun_with_face:

@Qutro, No worries! Always glad to help another grower out. I use tap water sometimes aswell. Put a pump and air stone in the tap water and let it run for 24 hours before using it. It will help burn off the chlorine. I fill up 5 gallon bucket and let them run over night. You’ll still have to balance the pH for a few days but you’ll know when it’s locked in good. When I don’t want pH issues I’ll fill a 5 gallon bottle at a water dispenser. But I live right next to one and have extra 5 gallon bottles on hand and the RO water is cheap where I am.

@Aquemini, thanks a lot for the quick response. I am going to use tap water so good to know about this chlorine thing etc. Probably I will start with one bucket in my small tent and try to figuring out how it goes. Thanks once more.:facepunch:

@Psilocubensis, I actually grew the plant all the way out, 2 times. But I stopped recording the grow because I got really busy. My first harvest molded and went bad. I revegged the plant luckily and got another harvest. But I let the plant go after that.

@Qutro, My advice to you is if you use RO water (reverse osmosis water) set your pH after you add nutrients to 5.8 and you shouldn’t have any pH issue or fluctuations. If you use tap or sink water the chlorine and minerals in the water will make your pH fluctuate for the first week. If you do DWC invest the time and dedication because once you figure it out it’s worth it completely. The bigger the reservoir the longer a plant can sit without being touched. Most people change their water once a week. I’ve done a whole DWC run with only changing the water for flowering by adding fresh water everyday and adding enough nutrients to get the ppm or EC back where I want it. But it’s recommended to res change

@Coopmc, Organic growing is great and easy. I love it for its own ways and aspects. I struggled with pH problems for my first week with DWC and then after that I figured out pH and fluctuations no problem. That’s why I do like hydroponics in DWC is I can control everything and change things immediately. I haven’t heard of your way of growing but I’m about to look into it

@Aquemini, I like the simplicity once I had soils mix right no more PH issues I feed once a week and water once a week I pour a galon on top of soil and as water falls through it creates suction and draws air down like a flood hydro system then I let my root mass dry up properly between watering so I have best both world high performance easy and quality
