(Cont'd)... fine grade of white gravel that contains a non-toxic, eco-friendly pesticide which leaches out into the medium to kill gnats/larvae and acts as a barrier. Hey DC92, I've been checking in on your diary . Coming along nicely. Noticed you mentioned a gnat issue. Not sure if this will help with you current predicament, but for future reference, you can either use a layer of sand on top and bottom of your medium... Or you can try this stuff I picked up called GnatKnix. They're essentially like a
